Mark the date in your calendar and make sure we have your updated info for the ALL CLASS REUNION 2010. We are special here at Lejeune High School...a great big family. You can’t break up a family by years...we like to bond together. Since we have set the date for July 9-11, 2010, I am getting ready to start making the plans for the weekends events. I am planning to book Marston and the OClub for the event for both nights. If you have any ideas or suggestions, feel free to post or email them to me.

Last year in May I bumped into Jason’s mom on a cruise to the Bahama’s nearly dropping our plates of food from the shock. Currently Jason and I talk twice on a daily basis and we live 2 hours apart!

Coach Tom McGhee Inducted to Jacksonville-Onslow Sports Hall of Fame on May 24th

Coach Tom McGhee, who coached at LHS for over 30 years and whose wife Gladys worked at Brewster Middle School among other schools, will be inducted into the Jacksonville-Onslow Sports Hall of Fame on May 24th at 6:30 pm.

Tickets for the banquet are $30.00 per person, and it will be held at the Jacksonville Country Club on Sat May 24th starting at 6:30 p.m.

Just wanted to check out the new web site - it looks VERY nice!! To the Pearson/Hawley boys and Tony Sloan, thanks for the great time when my daughter and I were in J’Ville 2005 for the all class reunion. Lejeune Scholarship Foundation Golf Tournament Rescheduled for May 23rd

Due to a scheduling conflict with a bigger charity golf tournament out in town (Marine Federal Credit Union), we are rescheduling our tournament for May 23rd. This is the beginning of Memorial Day weekend. I want to give a big thanks to many of the alumni in the 60’s who have generously donated to allow Wounded Warriors to play. It’s a 2 for one special...scholarship money is raised and Wounded Warrior get to play a round on us. We are so grateful for their sacrifices. Actually, last year a team of WW placed in the top 3.

I think it should really be a good time. I look forward to seeing old friends again. Of course, I’ll HAVE to take a Friday off from school and suffer driving the “beverage cart” and working on my tan, but we do what me must to raise money for the students. I really can’t wait!!!!

The registration is online at http://www.lejeunealumni.com/golf/golfform.php. The cost is $260 per team or $65 for an individual. The cost includes a round of golf on one of the most beautiful courses is the state (but I am biased), cart rental, food, beverages, and a great time.

I really hope to see you there!

Okay, I guess it is time for some new change. So we’ll see how this go’s..
Also wanting to see if anyone lives in the Delaware or surrounding areas I will be in Dover in April for two weeks, would like to get up with some old friends.
